Taiwan's national library, where every publication in the country is deposited, open to foreign visitors as well as citizens. Reading-room seats are meant for using the collections rather than private study, and only small bags and laptop sleeves (up to 42 by 32 cm) may be taken in, though there is a large separate self-study room.

Library in Zhongzheng, Taipei. Recent reviews describe studying or working here. Reviews and its own site mention plenty of power sockets, Wi-Fi, a quiet room and air-con.
