A branch of the Coffee-kan kissaten chain in a basement a minute from the east exit of Shimokitazawa station, roomy for the area, with counter seats, a big shared table and four-person tables, serving charcoal-roasted coffee, sandwiches, pancakes and desserts. There is a small smoking booth, and when it is full you write your name on a board by the door and wait.
