A modern municipal library on the ground floor of the Centro Administrativo São Sebastião, the city hall building in Cidade Nova, named after Maria Firmina dos Reis, the first Black woman in Brazil to write an abolitionist novel. Books can be borrowed; the tables have no sockets, so come with a charged laptop, and the toilets are shared with the building.
